Restaurant review
I went to a Chinese restaurant on December 23 last year. The name of the restaurant is Kamonka. It is on the second floor of a building near Tokyo station. So, it takes about five minutes to walk there from Tokyo station. However, there are some buildings which are similar to the building. Therefore, if you go to the restaurant, you should confirm the name of building. It is Marunouchi Trust Tower North. I went to the restaurant with my relatives. The aim of the dinner was to meet my uncle's wives family and talk with them. So, the restaurant arranged a private room for us. We were happy about the consideration. The atmosphere was relaxed. There were some other guests in the restaurant. However, I didn't have to mind the speaking voice. I chose oolong teaas my drink. It went well with Chinese dishes. I can't decide which drink I would choose, because my relatives recommended me drinking alchohol. However, I thought the select was right, because I enjoyed the taste of all dishes without getting drunk. The dinner was course and I ate seven dishes. I enjoyed all of them, but I especially thought two dishes were delicious. The first was a shrimp cooked by steaming. The shrimp was very big and fresh. The garlic smell was so good that it stimulated my appetite. Moreover, it contained gelatin noodles which I liked. So, the dish was my favorite. The second was crub fried rice. The rice was fried well and had the separated texuture. Also, half of the rice was dressed in a sauce made from gelee. So, we could enjoyed two tastes. Overall, it was a good restaurant. However, I was disappointed about one thing. It was the the timing the staff served the dishes. I ate them slowly, because I wanted to enjoy the conversation and the tastes. However, some dishes were served even though I was eating. So, they got cold and the table became full with the dishes. The number of us were thirteen, so it may be difficult for the staffs to adjust each pace of eating. Excluding that, the restaurant was very good. I recommend going there to you.

The progress of my reading of the food-related book and reflections about it
*Overview of the entire book
Pendergrast is a caffeinated beverage enthusiast.
He explained the history of the coffee bean with his enthusiasm for coffee. He
also focuses on the influence of the American coffee trade on the world’s
economies and cultures, further the start on the political and economic history
of Latin America. He shows coffee advertising played a major role in expanding the
American market. In 1952, a campaign by the Pan American Coffee Bureau helped
institutionalize the coffee break in America. And the advertisement of the Juan
Valdez which is a famous coffee chain store in America and Columbia made
Columbian coffee popular. The phenomenon occurred in a short period of time.
However, the process of harvesting a coffee crop is very hard. However, this
book tells the readers such issues correctly in his histories of Starbucks and
other firms. Also, this book tells us how to brew a perfect cup of coffee.
*Tell us how it met (or defied) your
expectations
In this book, there are a lot of
information about coffee, so I expected that the writer liked coffee very much.
My expectation was right. He not only knew how to brew a delicious cup of
coffee, but also worked as a member of Starbucks and other firms related to
coffee.
*Share with us the part(s) of the book you
liked best and reasons for it
I liked the part which explained how the
coffee break popular in America. Now, the Coffee Break” ritual became a
routine. However, it was not adopted for employees until 1952 when the Pan
American Coffee Bureau started the campaign. It urged consumers to “Give
Yourself a Coffee-Break –and Get What Coffees Gives to You”. Moreover, the
United Auto Workers began to insist on their right to take a daily 15-minute
Coffee Break by the campaign. While some company have to set a coffee break
time, some states such as California are required to offer such breaks to all
of their employees by law. I thought it was natural that people could decide
whether they would take the coffee break or not. However, they couldn’t in the
past. I didn’t know the fact before reading this part and such new information
is interesting for me. So, I liked the part.
*tell us what foods you might want to try
or absolutely avoid as a result of reading the book
I want to try Columbian coffee. Columbia is
suitable place to harvest a coffee crop, because there are a lot of mountains.
The temperature in the daytime is very different from it in night. The
difference gives the coffee bean stress and the stress gives the coffee bean
sweetness. I don’t like bitter taste, so I can’t drink a lot of coffee without
sugar or milk. However, if I try Columbian coffee, I may be able to enjoy the
taste. Moreover, I work in a coffee shop. So, I want to know the differences of
the taste depending on the area of its production.

Restaurant Reviews: Written and Visual
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/reviews/the-providores-restaurant-review-there-seem-to-be-eight-elements-to-each-main-and-thats-before-the-9815178.html
The name of the restaurant is "The Prodidores and Tapa Room". This reviewer went to the restaurant at lunch time, so he supposed that the atmosphere would be hustle and bustle. However, it was stuffy and hushed. They serve tapas as we can know by the name. The price of the dishes is upper end of what one might expect to pay in central London. The most inexpensive menu is cream of butternut squash with Parmesan and rosemary crouton, and star anise pulled pork. It is £8. The whole dish smells the rosemary, and the hot juicy pork are spicy and delicious. There are a lot of original mains influenced by Asia, and each of them includes a minimum of eight elements. According to the reviewer, they are not bad, or pooly cooked. However, they are very stylish. So, if we go to the restaurant, we are not in the mood for fish and chips. At the end of the review, the reviewer recommends that we go to the restaurant. However, he also recommends that we have our own credit card. We may eat a lot in spite of the high prices.
Q. Does the reviewer show any special "insider" knowledge of the chefs or the restaurant's plans for the future?
A. Yes, he does. He says that Gordon has become very famous in London. He was a consultant for Gourmet Burger Kitchen; executive chef of The Sugar Club, which spread from New Zealand to Notting Hill; and owner of the excellent Kopapa in Covent Garden, where Google bigwigs and Lib Dems breakfast.
Q. From the type of restaurant being reviewed and from the style of writing, what would you guess about the readers of this newspaper?
A. The reviewer says that "The lunch menu is toward the upper end of what one might expect to pay in central London, with only one starter under £10." I guess that the readers are ordinary people, because the reviewer thinks that the price is expensive. I can know it by reading this part, "only one starter under £10."
Q. Does the review include a convenient grid so that the reader can see, at a glance, such facts as the restaurant's location, the price range of menu items, wheelchair accessibility, etc.?
A. No, he doesn't. However, some prices are enclosed in blackets. So, it is easy for the readers to understand.
Q. What additional information can you find out about the restaurant from its Website?
A. On Saturday and Sunday, the restaurant holds fantastic Weekend Brunch. It is needed making a reservation.
The providores which is one of the restaurant has private dining room on the first floor. It is hired for lunch and dinner. 40 guests can seat up and it is the perfect place for an event or party. The guests can choose a personalised three course menu for a sit-down dinner, or a wonderful selection of canapes for a larger group. Also, the restaurant prepares the largest selection of premium New Zealand wines in Europe. The room hire cost includes food, mineral water, tea and coffee. However, the additional drinks take 12.5% charge.
Q. What did you learn about the values of the reviewer and cultural values through this review?
A. I learned that the people of Marylebone in which the restaurant is are upper class. The reason why I could know it is the prices of the restaurant's dishes are expensive, and Marylebone is an area which has some famous boutiques and hotels.
Q. Based on the review, would you and your partner like to try this restaurant? Why or why not?
A. I want to try this restaurant, because I can eat some original Asian dishes in the restaurant. I love Asian food and the reviewer says that the dishes includesa lot of elements. So, I expect that I can experience the taste I have never eaten.

Hamburger
Today, almost all of people have eaten hamburger. It is
one of the most popular foods all over the world. However, I suppose that
there are few people who have studied about hamburger in this class. So, I
will give you some knowledge of hamburger.
Sausage is very popular in German because there are a lot
of stands where people can eat sausages. People often eat sausages with mustard
on their way home. The combination of sausage and beer is good. The history of
sausages are very long. In 17 and 18 century, sausage was very important
preserved food because the land wasn’t suitable for cultivation and it was too
cold to harvest the crops. Also, sausage can be changed the taste by spices. It
was the reason why people could enjoy eating sausages without getting tired of
them. These things made sausage popular in German and McDonald’s adopted it as an
ingredient.
Introduction of My Food-related Book
Currently, I'm reading a book. The book's title is "Uncommon Grounds". The author is Mark Pendergrast. He wrote about how coffee had dominated the economies, politics and social structures of entire countries in this book.
The reason why I chose this book is that I am interested in coffee. I work at a part-time job in a coffee shop. As I worked there, I wanted to get more knowledge about coffee such as history, business, and industry. So, I hope that this book will give them to me.
I haven't read all pages yet, but this book has already given some knowledge to me. For example, the bean called pea berry is considered by someone to possess a slightly more concentrated taste. Also, the pioneer of coffee plantation in Guatemala were German immigrants. I didn't know that the origin of coffee in Guatemala was plantation before reading this book. Thus, this book give me a lot of interesting information. So, I am looking forward to reading the rest of it.

Made In Guatemala: A Day in the Life of a Coffee F
Hello! The book I am reading is related to coffee.
So, I chose this video about a day in the life a coffee farmer in Guatemala.
He always gets up at 5 or 5:30 and works about nine or ten hours.
He walks about one hour to go to his field.
After that, the thing he only has to do is driving for bringing wood down and fertilizer up.
At 5, he starts heading back. His work is very hard, but he doesn't get enough money.
He wants to take better care of the plants that produce more coffee. However, it requres money.
So, he says that the customers have to have the money to invest and be able to wait to see the profits.
Before I watched this video, I thoght that the coffee farmers could earn enough money.
It was because the coffee industry became familiar.
However, the coffee farmer's life is still hard and it is surprising for me.
This video will also give you a lot of information about coffee.
So, if you have time, please watch this video!
